Time is sure flying by. We've already had our first 1,000 visitors and it was only last spring we were kicking things off. You have responded to us well and have sent in your questions and suggestions. We put up a guest book but it remains unsigned. Not knowing all the fancy data base stuff I've relied on an email submission to collect your entries. Please believe me when I say I would never betray your trust. Drop us a line. Tell us what you think of our site and how we can make it more useful and interesting. Don't let an error message from a Web browser stop you. Thanks! This new installment of our site features a new column by our chief camp cook, Jean Baptiste, called "Greenhorn Guidance." In it Jean Baptiste goes over some of the basics of our hobby. But don't let the title fool you, you don't have to be a greenhorn to get something out of his column. This opening article is on choosing your first long gun and is a fine piece of work. |
There are two new book reviews as well, First American by H. W. Brands, a new biography of Benjamin Franklin that's well worth reading and Founding Brothers by Joseph J. Ellis.
So if there's anything we're doing right or doing wrong be sure to to write us at editor@armoryhill.com and let us know. Believe me, we could use the input. And if you have a minute, sign our guest book. We'd like to know a bit about our friends. We don't bite, honest.
So, until next time, I bid you fare well on a familiar trail.---JBW
